Soft Serve Business ROI Calculator

Check whether the numbers genuinely work — before you invest
You Are Building a Frozen Yogurt Business

This is not an ordinary soft serve stand. Frozen yogurt is a premium, health-positioned category that typically commands higher prices in the Philippine market — consider pricing at ₱99 or above per serving, and validate what your own customers will pay.

STEP 1

Your Business Setup

How will you run your soft serve operation?

Your counter space starts earning from staff and floor area you already pay for — the machine takes less than one square meter.
STEP 2

Your Market Reality

These three numbers decide the business case. Be honest with them — the tool works best with realistic inputs.

Cafe range ₱55–120. Premium and froyo concepts: ₱99–199.
Use a realistic average across slow and busy days — validate against your actual foot traffic.
Enter the days you will actually open (e.g. 26 if closed weekly).
STEP 3

Your Investment Level

Machines from the TOP Creamery catalog (prices as of August 2026). Machine type sets overrun — the air whipped into every serving.

Test the Downside Before You Decide

A sound decision does not rely on the best case. Below, the same unit economics at three sales levels — start the conversation with the conservative case.

The key question is not whether the projected profit looks attractive — it is whether your location can realistically serve the recovery volume every operating day.

How this calculator works

The model uses the same yield math we use for in-store costing: one 1 kg pack of powder plus 2.5 L of water makes a 3.5 L mixture, expanded by your machine’s overrun (air-pump 70%, gravity 60%, generic 35%) into sellable servings. From your selling price it deducts powder, packaging, and wastage to get contribution per serving, then subtracts your fixed costs for the month. Capital defaults to the machine price plus about seven selling days of starting stock. All prices are published topcreamery.com prices as of August 2026, and every figure is an estimate before tax, financing, and depreciation.

Frequently asked questions

How much profit can a soft serve ice cream business make in the Philippines?
Using typical inputs — ₱65 per serving, 60 servings a day, 30 operating days, and ₱5,000 monthly fixed costs — the model projects around ₱81,400 estimated monthly operating profit (before tax, financing, and depreciation) on a ₱283,500 machine-and-stock investment, with simple payback in about 3.5 months. Your real result depends on your location’s foot traffic, so enter your own numbers in the calculator above.
How much does it cost to start a soft serve business in the Philippines?
A machine-plus-starting-stock setup starts at roughly ₱109,500 with an entry-level air-pump machine (Friggo TC03, ₱102,000), while the most popular configuration (Gelprom GP 100 AP at ₱276,000 plus about ₱7,500 starting stock) totals around ₱283,500. A standalone cart or kiosk adds cart/fit-out (₱35,000–80,000), staffing, and rent. Complete business packages with machine, flavors, and training start at ₱277,000.
What is overrun in soft serve ice cream?
Overrun is the air the machine whips into the mix as it freezes. An air-pump machine reaches about 70% overrun, turning a 3.5-liter mixture into roughly 5.95 liters of sellable soft serve (about 59 servings of 100 ml per 1 kg pack of powder). Gravity-fed machines reach about 60%, and generic machines are typically closer to 35% — which is why machine choice changes your cost per serving, not just your capital.
How many servings do you get from 1 kg of soft serve powder?
One 1 kg pack mixed with 2.5 liters of water makes a 3.5-liter mixture. At 70% overrun (air-pump machine) that yields about 5.95 liters of finished soft serve — approximately 59 servings at 100 ml each. At 60% overrun the same pack yields about 56 servings.
Is the PDF feasibility proposal really free?
Yes. Set your assumptions in the calculator, verify your Philippine mobile number by SMS, and the 5-page proposal downloads free — investment breakdown, unit economics, monthly operating estimate, downside scenarios, and the daily sales volume you need to recover your capital within 12 months. It is a planning estimate, not a guarantee of earnings, and by downloading you consent to follow-up from the Kreme City business team.
