Free Calculators for Starting an Ice Cream or Coffee Business in the Philippines
Two free Kreme City tools that answer the real questions — magkano ang puhunan, magkano ang kita, at kailan babalik ang capital. From the August 2026 catalog, the add-on reference builds (equipment plus starting stock, using space and staff you already pay for): soft serve is ₱283,500 illustrative capital with a ₱17 food cost per 100 ml serving — at ₱65 that is ₱48 contribution per serving before fixed costs, covering ₱5,000 monthly fixed costs at about 4 servings a day, and about 20 a day to recover the capital within 12 months. An add-on espresso bar: ₱235,500, ₱55.57 per 12 oz cup, break-even about 8 cups a day (₱12,000 monthly fixed costs, 26 days) and about 19 a day for 12-month recovery. A standalone cart or kiosk with rent and staff breaks even higher — around 31 servings a day on default standalone costs. Most calculators online price in dollars; these run on Philippine peso prices, and every assumption is editable.

What are you deciding today?
Start a business
Include equipment, fit-out, rent, staff, utilities and opening stock. Use a standalone mode and test a downside volume before committing.
Add to my business
Use add-on assumptions only when your existing space and staff really can absorb the new line. Include any incremental labor, power and wastage.
Compare for a decision
Run both with the same realistic local foot traffic and operating days. Compare contribution, fixed-cost break-even, 12-month capital-recovery volume and the downside case — not only headline ROI.
Magkano ang puhunan? What a soft serve cart and a coffee bar actually cost in 2026
The calculators’ own August 2026 reference builds, side by side. These are reference cases, not promises — change one input and every number moves, which is the whole reason the tools exist.

| Selling price used | ₱65 | ₱120 |
| Contribution per unit, before fixed costs | ₱48 | ₱64.43 |
| Break-even per day | 4 servings | 8 cups |
| Volume assumed | 60 a day, 30 days a month | 50 a day, 26 days a month |

| 12-month operating ROI | 345% | 366% |
| Best fit | Foot traffic, hot weather, impulse buys, families | Repeat daily customers, mornings, add-on to a shop you run |
Definitions: contribution per unit = selling price minus variable cost, before fixed costs. Fixed-cost break-even per day = monthly fixed operating costs ÷ (contribution per unit × operating days), rounded up — it covers monthly fixed costs only and is not capital recovery. Starting stock scales with the assumed daily volume (about seven selling days). Figures exclude income tax, financing, depreciation, owner salary and a contingency reserve, at Kreme City catalog prices dated August 2026; subject to stock availability and final written quotation. These are planning estimates, not a guarantee of income.
Pick the calculator that matches your plan
Ice Cream ROI Calculator
Pick the flavor and the machine you are actually considering (₱102,000–₱379,000) and get your cost per serving, profit per serving, monthly operating profit, break-even servings per day, and payback in months.
It also models overrun — the air whipped into the mix. An air pump machine gets more servings from the same 1 kg of powder than a gravity machine, and that one difference can move payback by months. Most templates ignore it.
- 64 TOP Creamery powder flavors, real pack prices
- 10 machines, air pump and gravity, priced August 2026
- Soft serve or frozen yogurt, cart or kiosk
- Standalone, or add-on to a store you already run
Example: ₱65 a serving × 60 a day on ₱283,500 capital ≈ ₱81,400 a month, 3.5-month payback. Your location decides whether 60 a day is real.

Coffee Costs and Profit Calculator
See what one cup really costs — beans, milk, syrup, cup and lid, plus waste and remakes — then your profit per cup, break-even cups per day, monthly operating profit, and payback in months.
It counts what quietly kills coffee counters: delivery app commission, waste, the grinder nobody budgets, and the barista an add-on counter eventually needs.
- Real bean, syrup and sauce prices, per gram and per ml
- Espresso bar mode or frappe mode
- Standalone cafe, or add-on to an existing business
- Machine, grinder and blender priced separately
Example: ₱120 a cup × 50 a day on ₱235,500 capital ≈ ₱71,759 a month, 3.3-month payback, break-even 8 cups a day.

Prices for coffee beans, syrups and espresso equipment are from the Kreme City catalog dated August 2026 — confirm availability and final written quotation. Coffee subtotal ₱51.45 carries an 8% waste allowance, then rounds up to the next centavo: ₱55.57.
What overrun is, and why the machine you pick changes your payback
Overrun is the air whipped into the mix as it freezes. How much sellable product 1 kg of powder becomes depends on the machine — the single most-ignored number in every ice cream business plan online.

| Machine type | Overrun | Sellable volume | 100 ml servings per pack | Ingredient cost effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Air pump (e.g. Gelprom GP 100 AP, ₱276,000) | 70% | 5.95 L | 59 | Baseline, ₱8 of mix per serving |
| Gravity fed | 60% | 5.60 L | 56 | About 6% more mix per serving |
| Generic or unbranded | 35% | 4.73 L | 47 | ₱10 per serving, and no warranty or parts modelled |

Which situation are you in?
The same machine gives a completely different payback depending on whether you are paying rent for it.
Swipe the table sideways to see more →
| Your situation | Set in the calculator | Effect on payback |
|---|---|---|
| Add-on to a business you already run | Rent and staff at zero, or the true extra amount only | Capital is mostly just the machine — usually the fastest payback |
| Mall or supermarket kiosk | Kiosk rent (₱20,000–₱50,000 in Metro Manila) plus one staff | At ₱48 profit a serving, ₱30,000 rent alone needs ~21 servings a day |
| Standalone cart, stall or cafe | Fit-out, deposit, utilities, staff at the NCR minimum (₱19,630 a month) | Highest fixed costs, longest payback — but you own all the upside |

Why the internet says ₱10,000 and ₱2,000,000 for the same business
Because they answer different questions. The 80–90% margin franchise pages quote is gross margin on one serving before rent and staff; the 10–20% lenders quote is net for the month after everything; and a cart, a kiosk and a cafe are three different businesses that happen to sell the same product. Your number depends on four things — the machine, your price, your daily volume, and whether you pay rent. Those are exactly the four inputs the calculators ask for.
How these estimates work
Formula. Fixed-cost break-even per day = monthly fixed operating costs ÷ (contribution per unit × operating days per month), rounded up to a whole unit. This is not capital recovery, accounting break-even or guaranteed profit. Contribution per unit = selling price minus variable cost per unit.
Rounding. Soft serve rounds the relevant intermediate cost stages up to the next whole peso. Coffee retains full precision for ingredient calculations, then rounds total variable cost and contribution up to the next centavo. Payback is displayed to one decimal place and ROI to the nearest whole percent. These rules describe the current calculator implementation.
Prices and stock. All prices come from the Kreme City catalog dated August 2026. Backordered items are shown as backordered. Starting stock is computed from about seven selling days at your assumed volume, so it changes when your volume does. Reference builds are illustrative and subject to stock availability and final written quotation.
Included and excluded. The reference fixed costs cover the calculator’s other-operating-costs field (utilities, maintenance, payment fees), plus rent and staff in standalone mode. Excluded: income tax, financing, depreciation, owner salary and a contingency reserve. Figures exclude applicable percentage tax or VAT; confirm current tax treatment with the BIR or your accountant.

A free tool from a supplier. Here is why the numbers are still worth trusting.
The prices are real, and they are dated.
Every price comes from the published Kreme City catalog of TOP Creamery products, labeled August 2026, and backorders are shown instead of hidden.
The tool argues with you.
Price below cost, zero rent on a standalone shop, staff below the NCR minimum wage, volume your machine cannot serve — each gets flagged. If the numbers do not work, it says so, and tells you what would have to change.
The warnings follow you into the PDF.
Your downloadable proposal carries every caution the calculator raised about your specific plan, in a section titled Read These Before You Commit. A tool built only to sell machines would have deleted it.
Get a boss-ready PDF feasibility proposal, free
Each calculator turns your inputs into a downloadable feasibility proposal in minutes, at Kreme City catalog prices dated August 2026: investment breakdown, cost per unit, monthly estimate, scenarios, payback and 12-month ROI. Hand it to a spouse, a partner, a boss, a mall leasing team or a lending officer. No account is required to calculate. The proposal requires mobile-number verification — one SMS code verifies your mobile number — and creates a follow-up record with the Kreme City business team.
Why a supplier builds free calculators
Kreme City supplies soft serve powders, coffee beans, syrups and equipment — TOP Creamery products — to carts, kiosks and cafes nationwide, so we see what happens after the purchase: plans that hold up, and plans that assumed volume the location could not give. These calculators put that experience into arithmetic, priced from the dated catalog and maintained by the same team that answers your quotation.
Frequently asked questions about the Kreme City calculators
Tap a question to see the answer.
Which calculator should I use, the ice cream one or the coffee one?
Use the Ice Cream ROI Calculator for soft serve or frozen yogurt — it picks your powder and machine and models overrun, so a 1 kg pack yields 59 servings of 100 ml on a 70% air pump machine. Use the Coffee Costs and Profit Calculator for espresso, lattes or frappes — it builds one cup from your bean dose, milk, syrup and cup. Undecided? Run both and compare payback.
Are the Kreme City calculators really free, and do I need to sign up?
Yes — no account or email is needed to compute, and every result on screen is free. The optional downloadable proposal requires mobile-number verification: one SMS code verifies your mobile number, the proposal is free, and downloading it creates a follow-up record with the Kreme City business team.
Magkano ang puhunan sa ice cream business sa Pilipinas?
As of August 2026, entry level starts at ₱102,000 with the Friggo TC03 countertop machine; the Kreme City reference build is ₱283,500 — a Gelprom GP 100 AP air pump machine at ₱276,000 plus about ₱7,500 of starting stock. Ang puhunan mo ay depende sa machine at sa lugar mo: a cart, mall kiosk or standalone store adds fit-out, rent and staff, which you enter yourself in the calculator. Ang mga figure na ito ay para sa add-on setup — a standalone build with rent and staff breaks even higher.
Is an ice cream cart or a coffee business more profitable in the Philippines?
It depends on your foot traffic and price point, not the product. In the August 2026 defaults, soft serve (add-on build, ₱5,000/month fixed costs) at ₱65 and 60 servings a day on ₱283,500 illustrative capital shows about ₱81,400 estimated monthly operating profit, a 3.5-month payback, break-even at 4 servings a day and about 20 a day to recover capital in 12 months; an add-on espresso bar (₱12,000/month fixed costs, 26 days) at ₱120 and 50 cups a day on ₱235,500 shows about ₱71,759, a 3.3-month payback, break-even at 8 cups and about 19 a day for 12-month recovery. Compare the break-even lines at the volume your own location can really give.
Where do the prices in the calculators come from?
From the Kreme City catalog of TOP Creamery products, dated August 2026 inside both tools: 10 soft serve machines from ₱102,000 to ₱379,000, 64 powder flavors, coffee beans at ₱1,165 per 1,000 g and fresh milk at ₱95 per litre. Backordered items are shown as backordered, availability and final pricing are confirmed in a written quotation, and you can override any figure with your own supplier quote.
Is this just a way to sell me a machine?
We do sell the machines, powders and beans — but the machine is one sale, while the powder and beans are a monthly relationship that lasts years. An owner who opens on flattering numbers closes in months and never buys again, so the tool is built to argue with you: it prints warnings against your own plan, and you never have to buy anything to use it.
Can I use the results to convince a partner, my boss or a lender?
Yes. Each calculator generates a free downloadable feasibility proposal from your own inputs: investment breakdown, cost per serving or per cup, monthly operating estimate, conservative-expected-strong scenarios, payback and 12-month ROI, plus a Read These Before You Commit section carrying every caution raised about your specific plan. The numbers are planning estimates, not a guarantee of earnings.
Do the calculators work on a phone?
Yes — both run in any modern mobile or desktop browser with nothing to install, and the PDF downloads straight to your phone. OFWs and employees planning from abroad or between shifts can build the plan on a phone and send the same PDF to whoever will run the store.
